This piece is a contemplation on the term "parasocial relationships," a social science term that seemingly justified my attachments to television characters at the time (I no longer feel justified). A parasocial relationship is the one-way relationship between a fictional character onscreen, and the offscreen viewer. There are things that a television character can do to strengthen this bond (eg. break the fourth wall), but the viewer is typically powerless. This is my solution...

I wrote the soundtrack while at a workshop studying electronic music at Oberlin. It's a duet between an analog synthesizer and a theremin.
